Approval is the start of stay management. Keep visa validity, each entry date, the permitted stay shown by immigration and future travel plans separate in your records.
Mission requirements can change. Confirm the responsible mission and live official guidance immediately before submission and payment.
Validity is not the same as permitted stay
Official DTV material describes five-year multiple-entry validity and stays of up to 180 days per entry. The actual permitted stay is determined at entry and should be checked against the immigration stamp or electronic record.
Track every entry
Record entry date, permitted-until date and planned exit. Recalculate after every re-entry. Do not assume a previous stay period carries over unchanged.
TDAC before arrival
Thai embassy guidance states that foreign travellers must submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card for each entry within three days before arrival. TDAC is free and is not a visa. Use the official Immigration Bureau website.
Extension and re-entry planning
Official DTV material describes a possible in-country extension of up to 180 days, but procedure and evidence should be confirmed with Thai Immigration. Compare extension requirements with a planned exit and re-entry, and never overstay while deciding.
